The quarter was pretty insane, I'm glad its over. What games are you playing? I'm finishing up God of War: Chains of Olympus and getting more comfortable with Unreal Tournament 3 mostly.

There are some cool books out there to help you learn a few languages. The two most useful to me, since I'm a novice as well, is Learn C++ by Making Games and ActionScript 3.0 Game Programming University. The ActionScript 3.0 Bible is good but it is so damn big I tend to just use it as reference when I have a issue that is giving me a headache. But I still totally feel you on wanting to make something non-digital though.

Yeah we only got teased here. We were all told to go inside because of the severe thunderstorm warnings and potential tornadoes, and then... nothing. No rain, no wind, no nothing. Just a blackout, and the only thing that got raided was the Turner Snack Shop. They got the last few remaining Vaults. It was like the end of the goddamn world.

Haha, nice. I'd like to see/play the prototype when it's done.
Although it's too bad the game is now about laying eggs. I thought it was funny when we first joked about the idea, when the goal was just to not get decapitated by the farmer and eaten!

Hey man, just checking out your blog.
I'll email everyone the pictures I took of our final play-test and game components soon for us to put up on our respective blogs.

I also agree this was definitely the hardest game I've worked on.
I'm really pleased with how it eventually turned out, though. It was just unnerving not having even a prototype or even a solid idea for the game for that long.
